Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of production or event management experience
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
  • Familiarity with event production technical requirements and processes

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Meeting Planning, Marketing, Business, Theater, or Communications or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of production management, stage management, event production, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of technical design and show production including staging, video, audio, and lighting event needs
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills capable of leading teams and providing clear direction
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good knowledge of the Disney brand, processes, and culture
  • Strong organization skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to make informed decisions autonomously

Job Duties

  • Act as event main point of contact for all experiences within area, establishing relationships and lines of communication with business units, partners, and other exhibitors in assigned event area
  • Participate in deliverable review calls, providing input as relevant
  • Partner with various stakeholders including business units, sponsors, ACC, Freeman, operations, guest control, catering, security, and IT to ensure seamless communication and operations
  • Assist exhibitors with questions or concerns by connecting them to key contacts
  • Gain visibility and understanding of all specific needs for spaces within area
  • Become first point of contact for business units within area and escalate complex issues to event producer
  • Proactively anticipate potential challenges and problem solve with partners
  • Lead and be primary contact for assigned area ensuring load in, operation, and load out are on track
  • Ensure that business units and sponsors are prepared for event activities
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot guest control needs
  • Support daily opening and closing of guests ensuring areas are show ready and guests are cleared on time
  • Manage load out process ensuring spaces are clear
  • Participate in production meetings, site visits, and wrap-up meetings
  • Communicate progress, risks, and next steps to event management and flag changes impacting scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and programming
  • Develop and manage documentation and reports including daily area reports
  • Provide after action notes and participate in review meetings
