Job Requirements

  • Position requires occasional moving around with light (1-10lbs) carrying lifting pushing or pulling
  • The position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files office equipment etc
  • The position is mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements
  • The position requires frequent communication with team members and repetitive motion with the hands wrists and/or fingers while constantly utilizing a computer
  • This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
  • Full-time employment
  • Fleet Feet utilizes E-Verify in all corporate and company-operated stores as part of the hiring process

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of event management experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding organizational planning and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Word Excel Outlook
  • Ability to balance multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Oversee all event logistics including course setup start/finish line arrangements waste management medical services and online registration platforms
  • Work with local officials sponsors law enforcement health departments race entertainment teams timing partners race crews and subcontractors
  • Recruit assign and manage volunteers for various event roles
  • Coordinate supplies equipment post-run meals awards participant shirts and finisher medals
  • Ensure the safety of all participants volunteers and staff throughout the event lifecycle
  • Adhere to all Fleet Feet Brand Standards and Guidelines
  • Build and maintain trust from staff customers and the community by using good judgment
