Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area, OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year relevant experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in event coordination software or related tools
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Flexibility to work during events including evenings and weekends
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications

- Proven ability to manage event logistics and customer relations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with billing and revenue forecasting
- Ability to lead team meetings and coordinate with multiple departments
- Proficient in problem-solving and developing alternative solutions
- Demonstrated customer service excellence
- Familiarity with current trends in event management and design
- Leadership experience and ability to empower team members
Job Duties
- Prepares event documentation and coordinates with sales, property departments and customers
- Ensures smooth event progression by following procedures and collaborating with employees
- Greets customers during events and transitions to Event Operations team
- Reviews and ensures billing accuracy with clients
- Manages group room blocks and meeting spaces
- Identifies and resolves operational challenges
- Acts as liaison between field salesperson and customers
- Participates in customer site inspections and assists with sales
- Solicits feedback to improve event planner experience
- Delivers excellent customer service and empowers employees
- Communicates event details to customers and operations
- Oversees customer experiences from pre- to post-event phases
- Handles guest problems and complaints
- Leads formal pre- and post-event meetings
- Assists in sales process and up-selling products and services
- Forecasts event revenue and group sleeping rooms
- Reviews guest satisfaction and provides employee feedback
- Implements corrective action plans
- Collaborates with staff to address operational challenges
- Performs other duties as assigned
