Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years relevant event management experience OR 2-year college degree in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
  • Proficient in event planning software and tools
  • Ability to handle customer interactions professionally
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including event times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years event management experience
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with at least 1 year event management experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively
  • Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in event logistics and operations
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles related to events

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers to ensure seamless service throughout event phases
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
  • Ensure billing accuracy and review bills with clients
  • Serve as liaison between sales and customers from pre-event to post-event
  • Conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings for assigned groups
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist in sales process
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints
  • Lead event management teams and oversee event activities
  • Assist in sales forecasting and up-selling of products and services
  • Review guest feedback and provide employee coaching
  • Implement corrective action plans and improve service performance
