Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum six years of experience in hospitality including event planning and food and beverage sectors
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage guest experiences and expectations tactfully
  • Experience managing and developing teams including performance reviews and training
  • Proficiency in audio-visual systems and catering services
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and EMS booking system
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts covering conference center hours and locations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • Six plus years' experience in hospitality industry including 5-star hotels, event planning, and food and beverage
  • Strong foundation in customer service and organizational skills
  • Understanding of meeting planning processes and customer experience management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage guest experiences with tact and diplomacy
  • Proven experience managing and developing local and remote teams
  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems and catering services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Event Management System booking software

Job Duties

  • Lead and oversee a team of conference center planners, ensuring effective coordination and execution of meetings and events
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to enhance team performance and cohesion
  • Address and resolve daily challenges presented by the team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving and innovation
  • Engage with senior management and line of business representatives to deliver outstanding service and maintain strong relationships
  • Collaborate closely with in-house catering, technology, and operations teams for seamless service delivery
  • Analyze and optimize meeting space management to maximize utilization and efficiency
  • Assign meetings and events based on team members' skill level and expertise
  • Conduct pre- and post-conference calls and manage Event Management System entries to ensure thorough planning and follow-up
  • Perform reception desk duties including answering calls and returning emails
  • Drive special projects aimed at enhancing facilities, planners, and overall client experience
  • Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying training opportunities
  • Maintain compliance with risk and operational standards and review procedures regularly to uphold high customer service levels
