Job Duties
- Process all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email
- identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types and availability
- explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers
- address and document special requests
- respond to questions about hotel facilities, services, and room accommodations
- use sales techniques to maximize revenue
- communicate VIP reservation information
- enter and access reservation data in the system
- resolve guest reservation issues by coordinating with appropriate personnel or departments
- oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
- enter group room lists and manage room blocks
- set up proper billing accounts in accordance with accounting policies
- comply with company policies and procedures
- maintain professional appearance
- maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
- greet and recognize guests following company standards
- anticipate and meet guest service needs
- assist persons with disabilities
- communicate clearly and professionally
- prepare and review accurate written documents
- answer phones using proper protocols
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- support teamwork to achieve common goals
- listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
