Job Requirements
- Flexibility in working hours including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience with audio visual technology preferred
- Must complete Food Handlers Permit within 3 months of hire if not certified
- Must complete First Aid and CPR courses within 3 months of hire if not certified
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture as required
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to walk on uneven and slippery surfaces
- Must have reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating rentals or special events
- Ability to operate basic audio/visual equipment
- Good communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Serve as onsite contact person for all assigned facility rentals events to ensure success of the event
- Provide facility rental services to clients and their guests under limited supervision to ensure smooth event execution
- Communicate and coordinate with department staff for planning and event requirements
- Enforce Bishop Museums rules and policies with clients, guests, and vendors according to rental agreements
- Coordinate with external vendors for delivery, setup, execution, and strike of vendor equipment and personnel
- Ensure event setup adheres to rental agreement details on the events calendar
- Setup and breakdown event equipment, furniture, and tents
- Coordinate with other departments, including Buildings and Grounds and Housekeeping, for setup and cleanup
- Set up meeting spaces including room preparation, teleconference equipment, and amenities
- Operate basic audio/visual equipment such as projectors and speakers
- Maintain inventory of event-related supplies including furniture, linens, utensils, and cleaning materials
- Maintain calendar of room bookings and assist with rental inquiries
- Process rental agreements and payments including intake and refunds
- Assist with clerical work and Visitor Experience operations including answering phones and wayfinding
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
