Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid and unrestricted driver's license
- One year related work experience or two years student employment experience focused on event coordination or facility management or completion of the KSU Night Owl program competencies
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EMS challenges
- Capable of managing event logistics from planning to execution
- Willingness to provide on-site support including after-hours and weekend availability
- Ability to create and maintain detailed event documentation and timelines
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
- Ability to travel between campuses and other venues
- Commitment to upholding university core values including integrity, excellence, accountability, and respect
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proficient in MS Office especially Excel
- Proficient in CAD software
- Experience with Event Management System or similar event software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to provide excellent customer service including phone and email etiquette
Job Duties
- Schedule assigned events and manage event contracts
- Arrange room reservations and event space setup
- Act as primary contact for customers assisting with planning, reservations, and logistics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date event policies and procedures
- Provide professional client services in planning, organizing, and managing internal and external events including logistics, registration, attendee tracking, presentations, and evaluations
- Coordinate necessary arrangements with campus support groups such as catering, building services, public safety, IT, residence life, and parking
- Troubleshoot EMS challenges for clients via phone, email, or in-person
- Coordinate staffing for appropriate event coverage from setup to breakdown
- Produce contracts and invoices for events, monitor fee collection, and provide payment information to relevant personnel
- Create diagrams and floor plans with setup requirements
- Maintain and execute event timelines
- Check setup for scheduled events with oversight in some larger venues
- Provide on-site event support including after-hours and weekend events on both campuses and other venues
- Oversee and assist with event setups as needed including moving tables, chairs, podiums, stanchions, and floor carpet installation and teardown
