Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of event coordination experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work Wednesday through Sunday including late mornings to early evenings
- Experience with guest engagement and public speaking
- Proficiency in managing event logistics and coordinating with contractors
- Ability to uphold MetroLagoons standards and guest experience goals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management Marketing or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising
- 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
- Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Experience as host emcee or similar role is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences including families and children
Job Duties
- Coordinate on-site presence for partnerships and events including managing signage and radio programming
- Serve as on-site point of contact for event setup logistics and execution
- Provide feedback and updates to Corporate Events team
- Emcee events such as trivia karaoke bingo
- Lead kids activities and other planned or pop-up events
- Act as a "Funbassador" engaging with guests and maintaining enthusiasm
- Manage contracts with third-party contractors and partners ensuring compliance
- Schedule and oversee third-party contractors for event coverage
- Reconcile activities payments and operational metrics of contractors
- Collaborate on implementing monthly event calendar and ensure alignment
- Assist in monitoring labor and operational expenses to stay within budget
- Provide reporting on spending and resource allocation
- Work closely with local lagoon team to align on event logistics and guest experience
- Support and guide team members involved in events to ensure professionalism
- Maintain communication with Strategic Partnership & Events team
- Compile post-event reports including successes challenges and recommendations
