Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of 2 years experience in event planning or coordination
- strong organizational and project management skills
- proficiency in communication both written and verbal
- ability to multitask and handle fast-paced work environment
- customer service orientation
- knowledge of event management software is beneficial
- willingness to travel for events
- attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, with a background in event management or hospitality preferred
- 2+ years event planning expertise
- excellent communication skills - outgoing and comfortable interacting with colleagues, attendees, and vendors via in-person, email, and phone
- outstanding writing and proofreading skills
- ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain deadlines, with excellent time management skills
- understanding and knowledge of the catering industry, including food and alcohol items
- ability to travel to events when necessary
- experience working with senior-level executives a plus
- experience working with event management and registration platforms a plus
Job Duties
- Plan and execute small and large-scale in-person, hybrid, and virtual events in coordination with the events team
- oversee attendee experience and management including managing event registration, maintaining attendee database, and attendee communication
- manage internal and external events calendar
- provide customer support to event registrants
- collaborate with staff, speakers, vendors, attendees, and sponsors to ensure event success and customer satisfaction
- strategize with staff to achieve excellent event attendance
- coordinate catering, equipment, technical, and logistical needs for events, including scheduling, menus, decor, and entertainment
- prepare and process invoices and financial records and maintain budgets relating to events
