Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 2 years experience in event planning or coordination
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • proficiency in communication both written and verbal
  • ability to multitask and handle fast-paced work environment
  • customer service orientation
  • knowledge of event management software is beneficial
  • willingness to travel for events
  • attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with a background in event management or hospitality preferred
  • 2+ years event planning expertise
  • excellent communication skills - outgoing and comfortable interacting with colleagues, attendees, and vendors via in-person, email, and phone
  • outstanding writing and proofreading skills
  • ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain deadlines, with excellent time management skills
  • understanding and knowledge of the catering industry, including food and alcohol items
  • ability to travel to events when necessary
  • experience working with senior-level executives a plus
  • experience working with event management and registration platforms a plus

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute small and large-scale in-person, hybrid, and virtual events in coordination with the events team
  • oversee attendee experience and management including managing event registration, maintaining attendee database, and attendee communication
  • manage internal and external events calendar
  • provide customer support to event registrants
  • collaborate with staff, speakers, vendors, attendees, and sponsors to ensure event success and customer satisfaction
  • strategize with staff to achieve excellent event attendance
  • coordinate catering, equipment, technical, and logistical needs for events, including scheduling, menus, decor, and entertainment
  • prepare and process invoices and financial records and maintain budgets relating to events
