Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment
  • ability to adapt to changing duties
  • basic food safety knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules
  • prepare production records
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules according to menu specifications and departmental policies
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • prepare orders per vendor to ensure production accuracy
  • operate an efficient and cost-effective program
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
