Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in event coordination or sales
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency with event management software
- Willingness to engage with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings or weekends
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in event coordination or sales, especially in hospitality or retail settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Familiarity with local market trends and business partnerships desirable
Job Duties
- Maximize restaurant profitability through yield management
- Develop and implement annual marketing and 90-day action plans to maximize revenue
- Maintain and update private event calendar daily
- Collaborate with management and local businesses to increase sales revenue
- Conduct site inspections and provide event and product information
- Enter tentative and definite reservations into event management software
- Create monthly budget for private event sales
- Establish relationships with local restaurants and caterers for event food options
- Generate event orders detailing contractual specifications
- Communicate event details to all departments
- Coordinate with management team to ensure successful event execution
- Serve as liaison between management team and clients
- Follow up with clients post-event for feedback and future business
- Send event evaluation forms within 48 hours post-event
- Maintain contact with hotel sales departments for leads and referrals
- Engage with Destination Management Companies and Convention & Visitors Bureaus for leads and referrals
- Participate in professional organizations for networking and promotion
- Generate weekly sales activity reports
- Maintain lost business log documenting cancellations and reasons
