Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in event coordination or event management
  • degree in marketing, business management, or sports management preferred
  • experience in cheerleading preferably at a highly competitive level
  • proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and creative publishing tools
  • excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and negotiating skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to travel frequently without restriction and on short notice
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in environments with intermittent noise

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in an event coordination or event management field

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects of event planning and cheer competition coordination
  • set and meet strict deadlines
  • stay within budget
  • nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts
  • craft and implement creative and logistical aspects of all events
  • remain current with trends in event planning, design, and production
  • proactively identify and solve operational challenges
  • assist Director in annual and gross-profit plans
  • assist with forecasting and developing sales quotas
  • project expected sales volume and profit
  • analyze trends and results
  • establish pricing and selling strategies
  • monitor costs and track competition
  • plan, develop, implement, and evaluate sales action plans
  • participate in planning and strategic meetings for event sales and operations
  • establish and maintain operational and setup/strike procedures
  • assist in set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations
  • coordinate with the event team to prepare for participants' needs
  • perform additional duties as assigned
