Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in hospitality management, event planning, communications, or related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a college or university setting
  • Reliable transportation for regular travel between campuses, campus buildings, and off-site event locations
  • Access to and willingness to use personal mobile device for professional communication, including calls, texts, and email related to event coordination

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in hospitality management, event planning, communications, or related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a college or university setting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Reliable transportation for regular travel between campuses, campus buildings, and off-site event locations
  • Access to and willingness to use personal mobile device for professional communication

Job Duties

  • Coordinate logistics for college events including space reservations, av needs, catering, setup/teardown, signage, and security
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned events from pre-planning to day-of execution and post-event follow-up
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as facilities, it, and campus safety to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date event schedules in the college's event management system
  • Support commencement, open houses, donor events, and other high-profile college-wide functions
  • Ensure compliance with college policies regarding event approval, interactive attractions, space usage, and safety
  • Assist with external rentals and community partnerships including contract support and client communication
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues promptly and professionally during events
  • Evaluate events through feedback collection and internal debriefs to support continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
