Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- two years of experience working in the live event industry or related event operations work
- must have or obtain Class C vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment
- ability to work nights, weekends, breaks, and holidays as needed
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to allocate work assignments and task responsibilities
- ability to analyze problems and develop alternative solutions
- proficient in Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- two years of experience working in the live event industry or event operations related work
- Master's degree preferred
- two or more years of related experience in athletic operations or operations preferred
- previous experience managing a student staff preferred
- knowledge of building management and venue operations preferred
- familiarity with use of power tools preferred
- working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- excellent communication skills
- knowledge of NCAA and SEC Conference rules and regulations preferred
Job Duties
- Identify maintenance issues throughout athletic venues to determine need for maintenance or repairs
- coordinate staff with venue requests including furniture/equipment moves and assembly and performing light maintenance
- prepare work orders, prioritize, track progress, and communicate with coaches and staff
- complete regular inspections for cleanliness, orderliness, maintenance, safety, and ease of passage
- monitor media to identify events that may affect facilities and campus resources
- coordinate with maintenance regarding supply inventory and equipment storage
- coordinate site safety and security
- serve as after-hours contact for assigned venues
- lead or assist game day venue management for assigned operations including setup and breakdown of athletic events
- provide on-site customer liaison during events
- serve as on-call venue manager assisting with in-game management
- ensure venues are prepared for practice and competitions
- coordinate with Events Management department for special events
- coordinate post-event reviews and follow-ups
- oversee operations student assistant staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and daily oversight
- coordinate with access management
- maintain venue operations guides and recommend policy and procedural changes
- coordinate with branding at assigned venues
- maintain familiarity and ensure enforcement of NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations for all supervised staff and student workers
