Job Requirements
- Event planning experience
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience preferred
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Regional travel capability
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- Event planning experience required
- 1-2 years experience preferred in recreation, hospitality, marketing, communication or related fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications including Gmail
- Experience with website content management systems preferred
- Familiarity with social media platforms and graphic software such as Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project planning, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally for work-related activities
Job Duties
- Develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process including research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation
- Manage and execute multiple events simultaneously, overseeing timelines, production schedules, risk assessment, vendor and venue management, event team coordination, and overall logistics
- Coordinate event production including event set-up, day-of hosting, event briefings, logistics management, and tear down
- Oversee budgets and contracts related to events, including processing invoices, requesting vendor quotes, and managing purchase orders
- Support district teams within the event planning process to ensure successful event experiences
- Design and implement marketing plans and materials such as flyers, website content, social media, newsletters, posters, and event photography
- Collaborate with military organizations and businesses on partnerships and sponsorships to enhance resident programming
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for events including attendance stats, evaluations, and photos
- Support department through special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations, health and safety laws, Fair Housing, and company policies
