Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to spend extended duration standing and lift 40 pounds
  • willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions during events
  • ability to operate a personal vehicle
  • flexible availability including evenings and weekends
  • reliable transportation
  • proficiency in communication and basic computer software

Job Qualifications

  • preferred 1 - 2 years experience in events, project management, nonprofit administration, or related
  • proven skills in scheduling, budgeting, logistics, organization, and multi-stakeholder coordination
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • knowledge of Excel, Google Suite, Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft Office
  • ability to build strong working relationships and manage volunteers
  • flexible availability including readiness to work during events, lunches, evenings, and weekends
  • ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team
  • ability to be flexible and respond quickly to change

Job Duties

  • process and generate event correspondence and contracts
  • maintain mailing lists, records, artist, and volunteer database
  • assist with organization and execution of annual juries including cataloguing visual arts and food jury process
  • coordinate setup of Festival and event volunteer meetings
  • oversee and implement all aspects of assigned events including fundraising, logistics, performers, coordination of public services, licenses and permits, venue coordination, public relations, and volunteer management
  • serve as liaison for assigned committees and staff lead for specific Festival of the Arts areas
  • perform other staff duties as requested and participate in all Arts Council OKC functions
