Job Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- Ability to move throughout the store including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
- Must satisfy federal, state, and local job legal requirements
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Capability to perform physical tasks in a public retail setting
- Commitment to adhere to company policies and safety standards
- Ability to engage respectfully and positively with customers and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail or customer service
- Experience working with children and organizing children's events
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle job stress and interact positively with others
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple in-store events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage and interact with guests of all ages to create a fun and creative environment
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and other activities such as face painting
- Facilitate and manage party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and store team members regarding event details
- Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and managing paperwork
- Set up, break down, and clean the store before and after events
- Assist customers in shopping, locating products, and providing fast and friendly checkout service
- Promote and enroll customers in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards
- Participate in operational duties such as truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
- Support store safety and shrink programs and adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store including restrooms and work areas
- Provide cross-trained support in Custom Framing selling and production
- Adapt event plans according to client feedback and create backup plans for emergencies
