Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local job legal requirements
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Capability to perform physical tasks in a public retail setting
  • Commitment to adhere to company policies and safety standards
  • Ability to engage respectfully and positively with customers and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail or customer service
  • Experience working with children and organizing children's events
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact positively with others
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple in-store events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage and interact with guests of all ages to create a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and other activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and manage party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients and store team members regarding event details
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and managing paperwork
  • Set up, break down, and clean the store before and after events
  • Assist customers in shopping, locating products, and providing fast and friendly checkout service
  • Promote and enroll customers in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards
  • Participate in operational duties such as truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
  • Support store safety and shrink programs and adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store including restrooms and work areas
  • Provide cross-trained support in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Adapt event plans according to client feedback and create backup plans for emergencies
