Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Two years of relevant event planning experience
- Working knowledge of event and conference planning principles
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and train others
- Knowledge of procurement and budgeting principles
- Proficiency in event planning software
- Ability to work beyond standard hours including weekends
- Experience with volunteer management
- Familiarity with 25 Live software
- Ability to drive electric cart and occasionally private vehicle
- Compliance with CSU policies
- Authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Two years of relevant event planning experience
- Working knowledge of event and conference planning principles and best practices
- Competence in applying judgment to resolve non-standard problems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage events within time and budget constraints
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to lead and train staff, student employees, and volunteers
- Knowledge of procurement, budgeting, and accounting principles
- Proficiency with event planning software and financial systems
Job Duties
- Coordinate and implement various university events including invitation preparation, RSVP tracking, vendor payment, and supply ordering
- Maintain and update event information and registration in Raiser's Edge and 25 Live software
- Design and create event communications, signage, and web content using Canva and Cascade
- Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and coordination of volunteers for high-profile campus events
- Monitor campus event reservations to ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper departmental notifications
- Manage office coordination tasks including inventory management, student assistant oversight, and maintenance of event supplies
- Oversee budgeting functions including purchase orders, payment requests, expense tracking, and report preparation for events
