Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements including criminal and abuse background check
  • Must be able to work with multiple projects within tight timelines and deadlines
  • Have reliable transportation, valid and current automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record or access to reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Direct experience as a parent or primary caregiver who has navigated multiple child-serving agencies
  • Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events of various sizes
  • Ability to manage event logistics, vendor relationships, and volunteer coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse audiences from various backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge or ability to use Microsoft Office, database, and virtual platforms

Job Duties

  • Organizes, coordinates, and manages the planning and execution of events and outreach activities
  • Works with social, civic, and local organizations to engage partnerships and enhance marketing goals
  • Communicates and coordinates with organizational staff to ensure smooth event logistics
  • Implements established event procedures, staff and volunteer orientation, and provides troubleshooting and safety provisions
  • Coordinates event and training logistics including venue retention, permits, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Maintains accurate event documentation and records
  • Schedules event planning meetings, including debriefs and evaluations
  • Coordinates and supports volunteers, staff, and community partners in events
  • Identifies and recommends new outreach event opportunities
  • Develops and implements recognition strategies for volunteers, staff, sponsors, and partners
  • Supports outreach efforts through social media channels
  • Maintains listings of event and training locations
  • Manages confidential information related to volunteers and event participation
  • Tracks and reports volunteer hours
  • Produces and maintains event schedules for volunteer assignments
  • Provides outreach or serves as a key contact to specific communities
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed by the organization
