Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in event coordination or planning
- Proficiency in using room reservation and event management systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Capacity to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Visual acuity for reading documents and layouts
- Willingness to travel between campus and off-site locations

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Previous event planning or coordination experience
- Familiarity with event management software such as ASTRA
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Commitment to Christian values and higher education mission
- Experience supervising staff or contractors
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of university event policies and brand standards
Job Duties
- Coordinate event-related logistics, collaborating with departments and providing guidance throughout the planning process
- Collaborate with campus departments to coordinate event resources, including catering, custodial, security, and technical support
- Proactively address potential issues during event planning
- Provide exceptional customer service by confirming event details such as setup and staffing
- Attend events to ensure smooth operations and provide oversight, including evenings and weekends
- Maintain knowledge of university spaces, their capacities, and capabilities
- Ensure consistency in brand exposure within events
- Supervise employees and contracted staff supporting event operations
- Implement new procedures to optimize event planning processes
- Administer and oversee the ASTRA room reservation system, including confirming reservations and maintaining data
- Generate and analyze reports from ASTRA to optimize room scheduling
- Provide ASTRA technical support and training
- Oversee creation and distribution of the bi-weekly FPU internal newsletter
- Manage the university’s master calendar in collaboration with key departments
- Collaborate with Event Services Supervisor for successful event execution
- Integrate Christian faith into role
- Uphold Fresno Pacific University’s mission and values
- Complete tasks with accuracy and timeliness
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
