Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail and customer service experience required
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like lifting and reaching
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, face painting, and other activities
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards, including setup and cleanup before and after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote and enroll customers in rewards program and credit cards
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and merchandise recovery
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members
  • Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
