Job Qualifications

  • MA in event management, public relations, arts administration, or a related discipline in the College of Arts and Letters
  • Experience in event planning preferably in arts or entertainment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of travel booking and international travel processes is a plus

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute logistics for college events including concert series
  • Schedule faculty and guest artist events
  • Manage venues and coordinate rehearsals
  • Arrange dinners and handle contracts
  • Manage travel arrangements
  • Create and execute publicity plans
  • Work with facilities and media services to ensure event setups
  • Oversee master calendar and event-related publications
  • Coordinate between departments for venue and fund use
  • Manage donor and sponsor inquiries
  • Track attendance to cultivate community relationships
  • Teach eight credit hours annually
