Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
  • Good communication skills including verbal, written, and listening
  • Organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to uphold safety and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct participants on completing craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create contingency plans
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning events
  • Help customers shop and locate products and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Maintain merchandise recovery and perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, and restroom maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
