Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience
- preferred bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business or related field
- knowledge of CRM systems preferred
- experience in collegiate conference and events preferred
- knowledge of university policies and procedures preferred
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to multitask and work with constant interruptions
- familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
- ability to use phone, fax, computers, and virtual meeting applications
- valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed
Job Duties
- Builds and manages registration databases in Slate CRM
- processes registrations for conferences and events including data entry, payments, refunds, and confirmation notifications
- maintains accurate records of all registrants and prepares client reports
- prepares name badges and related materials for event use
- assists in pre-conference planning and on-site event execution
- coordinates logistics including facility, meeting space, food and beverage, audio-visual, transportation, equipment, and supplies procurement
- manages rental agreements and associated billing for the University Conference Center
- oversees on-site duties for day, evening, and weekend rentals
- supervises staff during conferences and events as needed
- performs other duties as assigned by Director, Assistant Director, and Office of the Provost
