Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • Ability to navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs or service ramps
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Willingness to follow company policies, safety and security procedures
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of safety and security policies
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with banquet event operations

Job Duties

  • Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable
  • Read and analyze banquet event order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, and specific guest needs such as buffets and action stations
  • Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
  • Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Speak clearly and professionally, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
