Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in event planning or coordination
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Chicago, IL
  • Weekend availability with weekends off schedule

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of events from conception to execution
  • Communicate with vendors, venues, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Help manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Coordinate logistics including transportation, catering, and audio-visual requirements
  • Prepare and distribute event materials such as invitations, programs, and promotional content
  • Set up event spaces, ensuring all elements are in place for successful execution
