Job Requirements
- Associate's degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Completion of UServe Utah Volunteer Management Certification within one year of hiring
- Minimum of two years of experience planning and executing large and small group events preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience coordinating volunteers preferred
- Ability to coordinate a volunteer program
- Ability to interact with grieving donor families
- Compassionate in dealings with others and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to manage a budget
- Strong communication and public relations skills
- Excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Excellent grammar and composition skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Able to work well independently, prioritize duties, and work well under stress
- Able to organize and lead large group projects and events
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office functions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to move up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Coordinate and assist in planning and implementing all aspects of DonorConnect's event programming including Celebration of Life Gathering and Donate Life Month events
- Coordinate cross-functional and interdepartmental events involving races, hospital services, and community outreach
- Schedule projects and manage volunteer program activities including interviewing, recruiting, and recognizing volunteers
- Interact compassionately and professionally with grieving donor families
- Manage budgets related to event and volunteer program operations
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure event success
- Organize and lead large group projects and events with excellent follow-through and problem-solving
