Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Parks and Recreation, Hospitality or closely related field
- Minimum of two to six years of experience performing related duties depending on coordinator level
- Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and safe driving record
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification within three months of hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability and experience driving vehicle pulling small equipment trailer
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and a heavy summer schedule
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Parks and Recreation, Hospitality, or closely related field
- Experience ranges from two to six years depending on coordinator level
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google products, and ability to learn Asana, Civic Rec, and Granicus software
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service in various settings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
- Experience working with diverse groups including volunteers, vendors, and public
- Knowledge of audio/visual/video/lighting equipment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships
- Commitment to community service and professional growth
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate Town events across various facilities and locations
- Perform onsite event coordination duties including vendor coordination, volunteer check-in, site preparation, teardown, logistics coordination, and band management
- Assist with scheduling, permitting, and oversight of special events
- Develop content for marketing materials such as announcements and flyers
- Lift, carry, transport, and set up event equipment and supplies
- Conduct research to maintain high event standards and plan future events
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, invoicing, budgeting, reporting, and supply management
- Enforce policies and safety regulations at events and facilities
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers, volunteers, vendors, elected officials, and community partners
- Support volunteer project coordination including distributing information, processing applications, scheduling, onsite logistics, and writing project summaries
- Retain and organize volunteer records
- Assist with advisory committee materials and meeting logistics
- Keep associated webpages and calendars up to date using Granicus suite programs
- Assist PROS staff with duties as assigned
