Job Requirements

  • ability to work various shifts, including evenings/weekends as needed
  • reliable attendance and participation in required meetings/trainings
  • valid u.s. driver’s license, personal transportation, and an acceptable driving record

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer service, fundraising, community engagement, or event planning
  • confident decision-maker with strong stakeholder collaboration skills
  • relationship-driven professional with the ability to foster donor, volunteer, and community partnerships
  • excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
  • proficient in microsoft office and crm systems
  • able to prioritize independently, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high-energy, positive presence
  • flexible schedule and ability to travel within metro detroit
  • strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities

Job Duties

  • support planning and execution of agency events and seasonal programs, ensuring smooth logistics and exceptional experiences
  • lead promotional and operational support for major events such as chopper shop raffle, operation backpack, and adopt a family
  • represent voami professionally at community events, serving as an ambassador for the mission
  • ability to work evenings and weekends for key events
  • maintain an organized volunteer database, schedules, recognition programs, and compliance documents
  • create engaging volunteer opportunities and facilitate quarterly staff trainings to strengthen cross-departmental collaboration
  • serve as the primary connection for individuals, corporations, civic groups, and community partners across metro detroit
  • assist in donor cultivation activities and track progress toward fundraising and stewardship goals
  • coordinate logistics for fundraisers, donor meetings, sponsorship activities, and guest list management
  • maintain a detailed sponsorship tracker and ensure benefits and recognition are fully delivered
  • help create newsletters, email campaigns, messaging, and event content that amplify voami’s presence across se michigan
  • maintain an organized communications and event calendar and support the production of branded outreach materials
  • assist with additional fundraising priorities as needed
  • perform other job-related tasks as assigned
