Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a volunteer helpful
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including listening and interviewing
  • Ability to plan, organize, and delegate activities within the agency framework
  • Leadership skills with donor and sponsor motivation understanding
  • Capacity for creative thinking, risk-taking, and innovation
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with fundraising tracking or database software desired
  • Valid driver’s license meeting organizational insurance requirements
  • Accessible vehicle

Job Duties

  • Managing practical aspects of events including venue selection, vendor management, budget management, scheduling and timelines, risk management, and compliance
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies to promote events and manage attendee registrations
  • Researching, cultivating, and soliciting donors and corporate sponsors
  • Coordinating volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and recognition
  • Overseeing on-site event execution including staff and volunteer management
  • Conducting post-event evaluation and reporting including feedback collection and financial performance analysis
  • Supporting strategic goals by leveraging events for revenue generation, awareness, relationship cultivation, mission promotion, community building, organizational visibility, and stewardship
