Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Three to five years experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising preferably within Division I intercollegiate athletics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building and maintaining constituent or client relationships
- Proficiency with database management and common office computer applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to customer service and relationship building
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of discretion in handling confidential information
Job Qualifications
- Appreciation of and commitment to further the mission, values, and goals of Santa Clara University
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and execution
- Skilled in marketing and communication preferred
- Experience in Web and graphic design preferred
- Finance or accounting experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively with external and internal constituents including senior-level staff and student-athletes
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Capacity to handle frequent interruptions and multitask efficiently
Job Duties
- Assist with the planning and execution of Athletics Department development events
- Develop comprehensive event plans and timelines
- Manage invitation lists and guest communications
- Coordinate all event logistics including venue, audio/visual needs, and event flow
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise volunteers for Athletics events
- Serve as primary liaison for catering, facilities, and vendor partners
- Oversee event setup and teardown and ensure compliance with university policies
- Support Athletics communications and marketing efforts related to events
- Provide on-site event management and issue resolution
- Assist with post-event follow-up including thank you correspondence and surveys
- Contribute to constituent engagement and stewardship efforts
- Assist in executing stewardship initiatives and donor communications
- Collaborate with external relations, annual giving, and alumni offices
- Serve as a point of contact for Athletics constituents
- Track and maintain donor and alumni engagement activity
- Assist with organization of Athletics Development data management and analysis
- Collaborate with gift processing team for pledge and gift management
- Maintain accurate donor records and submit data corrections
- Prepare data request forms for stewardship and outreach support
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Provide direction and feedback to student workers
- Abide by NCAA and conference rules and regulations
