Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in event management or recreational sports programs
- Must be able to attend to multiple tasks and handle fast-paced environment
- Availability for full-time hours
- Ability to referee basketball games or willingness to obtain certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with budgeting and event planning tools
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups including youth and adults
Job Qualifications
- Five-star customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and selling skills
- Competitive basketball referee certification is a plus
- Experience working in high-end, high-touch, service-oriented business is a plus
- Experience leading a team and working in a high-performing team environment
- Events management and recreational sports knowledge is a plus
- Servant leadership mindset

- College degree, progress toward a degree or equivalent experience
- First Aid/CPR certificate required within 90 days of hire
Job Duties
- Effectively and creatively promote, coordinate and execute all club-sponsored and private events, meeting Villa Sport quality standards
- Pre-plan event budgets detailing all revenue sources and expenses including labor, supplies, F&B, and decorations
- Develop detailed banquet event orders to ensure effective preparation and communication between departments
- Serve as the primary contact for all private party, function, and club rental inquiries
- Complete party and rental contracts following club pricing lists and guidelines while upselling add-on services
- Record post-event financials and conduct debrief meetings to evaluate event success and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and store all event props, supplies, and equipment and order replenishments as needed
- Maintain participant files for marketing and promotion
- Effectively promote, coordinate and execute all adult and youth sports programs including camps, leagues, and sports-related activities
- Drive sports program revenues by attracting new participants and retaining current ones
- Referee adult league basketball games and ensure training programs are followed
- Coach and referee youth sports programs with an instructional approach
- Manage competitive travel basketball teams including hiring and supervising coaches
- Follow all sports department standard operating procedures
- Ensure the court schedule is current on the website
- Keep sports equipment in excellent condition and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of courts and turf fields where applicable
