Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in event coordination or sports program management is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform sports activities and stand for extended periods
  • Valid certification in First Aid/CPR within 90 days of hire
  • Availability to referee and coach basketball as required
  • Proficiency with basic computer and scheduling software
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment

Job Duties

  • Promote, coordinate and execute all club-sponsored and private events meeting Villa Sport quality standards
  • Pre-plan event budgets detailing all revenue sources and expenses including labor, supplies, F&B, and decorations
  • Develop detailed banquet event orders with event and rental details to ensure effective communication between departments
  • Serve as primary contact for private party, function, and club rental inquiries
  • Complete contracts and upsell add-on services
  • Record post-event financials and conduct debrief meetings for improvement
  • Maintain and store all event supplies and equipment and replenish as needed
  • Promote, coordinate and execute adult and youth sports programs including camps, leagues, and sports activities
  • Drive sports program revenues by attracting new participants and retaining current ones
  • Referee adult league basketball games and ensure training programs are followed
  • Coach and referee youth sports with an instructional approach and supervise Sports Associates
  • Manage Villa Sport Basketball Select competitive travel program and hire/supervise head coach
  • Follow Sports department SOPs in designing and executing sports programs
  • Keep court schedule updated on the website
  • Ensure sports equipment and fields are in excellent condition and safe
