Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of event management experience
  • Experience supervising volunteers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM databases
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage with executives and VIPs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Professionalism and teamwork
  • Ability to travel within Colorado
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of event management experience with both large and small events
  • Experience supervising volunteers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management databases, and event software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with internal and external stakeholders
  • Superior customer service skills and relationship management
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience interfacing with executives, VIPs, and Board members
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
  • Professional and courteous workplace behavior
  • Ability to represent Goodwill professionally
  • Ability to travel within Colorado
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and ability to drive for company business

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all fundraising, cultivation, and special events
  • Build and own event project management timelines
  • Negotiate venue and vendor contracts and act as venue liaison
  • Select and manage food and beverage services
  • Support Development Team as sponsor liaison
  • Coordinate event logistics with Executive Team, Development and Marketing staff, and event contractors
  • Build and manage event websites including ticketing and registration
  • Manage virtual auctions including tracking and delivery of items
  • Coordinate guest and sponsor registration at events
  • Ensure event sponsors receive benefits committed and manage sponsorship tracking
  • Organize and lead event committee meetings with timeline and action item management
  • Lead event management for Annual Dinner, Denver Golf Tournament, and additional special events
  • Develop and maintain event volunteer role descriptions and schedules
  • Coordinate event volunteer training, communication, and onsite leadership
  • Participate in fundraising activities and support Development Team with research and donor profiles
  • Provide backup to Data Specialist and support Business Development leads
  • Attend Development and other department meetings
  • Maintain flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and late nights as necessary
