Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working in a customer service field and/or experience in events
- Demonstrable examples of managing a small staff
- Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity in collaborative settings
- Proven management skills including planning supervision mentoring and coaching
- Critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches
- Ability to work occasional weekend and/or evening hours
- Capability to work both remotely and on-campus

Job Duties
- Oversee the University's Events and Conference department including coordination of logistics vendor relations and client communications for internal and external events
- Serve as the primary system administrator for the scheduling and space management system ensuring accurate space data and efficient event scheduling
- Monitor and improve processes for event planning customer service and resource allocation to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with campus partners such as IT Campus Safety Physical Plant and other university departments to arrange for maintenance details and coordination within all classrooms conference rooms communal areas and event spaces
- Supervise event staff and student employees including hiring training and performance management
- Assist in preparing and updating academic course assignments while maintaining compliance with academic calendar deadlines and institutional policies in collaboration with department chairs and program coordinators
- Generate basic reports on classroom usage and scheduling accuracy
