Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience in space management or event planning
  • Proficiency in MS Office and event management software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to perform lifting and moving tasks up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree with higher education experience preferred
  • Prior experience in space management, project management, or event planning
  • Knowledge of software platforms including MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, work order systems and EMS
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create and sustain productive and collaborative interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to exercise initiative, energy, and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb and move, pull and lift weights up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary events liaison for the Division of Academic Affairs in coordinating campus space usage and event support services
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Event Management System (EMS) and LiveWhale calendaring system for scheduling and event listing updates
  • Coordinate designated events and programs by conducting risk assessments, securing permits and licenses, ensuring vendor contract compliance, and arranging staffing
  • Provide direct support to the Director of Events and Campus Operations including the Sustainability Center with strategic planning, reporting, communications, and special projects
  • Manage the college's event and operations equipment inventory in coordination with Facilities and department staff
  • Assist with major college events including New Student Orientation, President's Convocation, Fall Weekend, Honors Day, Commencement, and Reunion Weekend
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings and staff development activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
