Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
  • At least 5 years experience in event management
  • Experience in conference or hospitality industry preferred
  • Must possess exemplary professionalism and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing workload demands and work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, contractors, and staff
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in event planning and operations management
  • Ability to handle schedule and deadline pressures causing mental and visual stress and fatigue

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in event management
  • Experience in conference or hospitality industry preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in event planning and financial management

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement event vision and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Manage all aspects of event budgeting and promotion
  • Lead post-event evaluation and reporting including debrief meetings
  • Serve as an ambassador to build community partnerships and represent Sheppard Pratt
  • Standardize event management workflows and develop annual event calendars
  • Manage vendor relationships ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Oversee on-site event operations including logistics, security, and troubleshooting
