St. Francis Yacht Club, founded in 1927, is a prestigious and historic private yacht club located adjacent to the Marina District in San Francisco. With over 90 years of rich yachting traditions, the club serves as a premier boating and social venue that honors camaraderie, sportsmanship, tradition, and the maritime heritage unique to San Francisco. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in events or hospitality
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or club operations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Professionalism, poise, and a member-service mindset
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Experience in private clubs, hotels, upscale restaurants, catering, or conference services (preferred)
  • Familiarity with event software or POS systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and banquet service standards (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of club events and regattas
  • Manage event reservations, seating arrangements, and billing processes
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to develop menus
  • Partner with club management to develop event pricing
  • Work closely with the race department to coordinate regatta-related social functions
  • Collaborate with food and beverage director, catering team, and front desk for event logistics
  • Ensure event spaces are properly prepared including room setup, timing, and service details
