Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree in a related field
- Two years of combined experience in sales, marketing, outreach, higher education, public relations, and/or fundraising for bachelor's degree holders
- Four years of experience in sales, marketing, outreach, higher education, public relations, and/or fundraising for associate degree holders
- Ability to oversee staff and student ambassadors including training and performance evaluations
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including outside regular business hours
- Effective communication skills for collaboration and presentations
- Familiarity with event planning and community engagement
- U.S. citizenship or lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' of combined experience in sales, marketing, outreach, higher education, public relations, and/or fundraising
- Associates degree and four (4) years' experience in sales, marketing, outreach, higher education, public relations, and/or fundraising
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Previous experience with event planning
- Previous experience working in a community college setting
Job Duties
- Oversee staff and student ambassadors, which includes prioritizing and assigning work
- conduct performance evaluations
- ensure staff is trained
- ensure employees follow policies and procedures
- maintain a healthy and safe working environment
- make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations
- Identify, direct, and help promote public affairs and strategic community outreach programs and sales-related efforts designed to introduce programs
- Collaborate with staff to use subject matter experts to promote and recruit for programs
- Maintain working relationships with program staff to share program information
- Maintain focus on recruiting students into programs
- Implement several on- and off-campus events, recurring including scheduling and conducting campus tours
- May help manage the college mascot
- Assist and communicate with prospective students throughout the admissions application and onboarding process
- Produce and present written and oral presentations and other content to diverse groups, including potential students, employers, industry leaders, and different community partner organizations
- Work with academic departments, sales, program, and marketing teams to analyze and refine and implement successful strategies to reach and recruit multiple populations into programs
- Represent CNM and programs at public events, sometimes working outside regular hours
- Manage assigned responsibilities, involving managing relationships with important partners, including parents, secondary and postsecondary schools, and community organizations
- Help with documentation and analysis of student recruitment and outreach efforts
- Identify and seek opportunities to collaborate with local companies and interest groups to increase partnerships and create pipelines for recruitment and placement of program completers
- Build networking relationships with industry partners to create understanding and involvement at the programmatic level to maintain industry-driven competencies
- May implement New Student Orientation presentations, develop new orientations, make updates or improvements for existing orientations, and work with the online platform that houses the online orientations
- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, tolerance of ambiguity, and strong interpersonal skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned
