Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- four or more years of marketing, event planning, or administrative experience
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- ability to multitask independently and within a team
- excellent organizational and project management skills
- strong planning, managing, and coordinating skills
- travel up to 20% of the time as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred
- four or more years of marketing, event planning, or administrative experience
- experience in accounting, financial consulting, business advisory, or banking industries preferred
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- CRM experience preferred
- strong planning, managing, and coordinating skills
- ability to multitask independently and within a team
- excellent organizational and project management skills
- active listener and interpreter of client needs
- ability to understand event context and guest types
- experience planning budgets, negotiating, and client communication
- critical thinker and problem solver
Job Duties
- Owns the communication and logistics throughout the planning process
- works closely with Events Activation colleagues to create opportunities for cross-firm collaboration in events
- possesses knowledge of contractual language as it pertains to meetings and events
- negotiates with vendors to achieve maximum value for the best product and services
- oversees the event budget and ensures accuracy in developing estimates, working and actual spends
- handles all event audio-video production from creative concept to final production
- helps to develop success measures and evaluate all events against objectives, recommending areas for improvement
- coordinates and leads the invitation and registration process
- offers on-site supervision or transition as necessary
- performs post-event duties such as expense processing, invoice reconciliation, evaluations, sharing feedback with Events Activation team, marketing colleagues, and other stakeholders
- champions the BDO brand in all event marketing activities
- other duties as required
