Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Retail and/or customer service experience
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
- Effective communication skills including listening
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Ability to engage positively and respectfully with customers and co-workers
- Must meet federal, state, and local legal requirements for the job
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and organizing children’s events
- Retail and/or customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with all age groups
- Experience in customer engagement and event coordination
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage guests of all ages by fostering a fun and creative environment
- Demonstrate and instruct participants on craft projects and other activities such as face painting
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
- Communicate event details with clients and store team members
- Complete event-related administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
- Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
- Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist customers with shopping and product location
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- Promote customer rewards programs and credit card enrollments
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
- Support Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise duties
- Maintain store recovery standards and support shrink and safety programs
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- Demonstrate respectful and positive interaction with customers and team members
- Cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
- Help maintain daily store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, and restroom upkeep
- Perform other duties as assigned
