South Suburban Parks and Recreation is a comprehensive and community-focused public organization dedicated to fostering healthy living through excellent stewardship of the environment, parks, trails, and open spaces. We provide a wide array of recreational services and programs designed to meet the needs of the residents we serve across multiple communities including Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree, Sheridan, and unincorporated areas of Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe counties. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • must possess a valid Colorado Driver License or obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • ability to assist in moving and setting up event equipment
  • ability to safely operate a motor vehicle or golf cart

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • minimum of 1 year of client service experience
  • previous party host or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to communicate professionally through digital platforms and complete electronic reports accurately and on time
  • ability to effectively use iPad and event management software such as Cognito

Job Duties

  • Serve as Hudson Gardens representative for private events including weddings, celebrations of life, corporate functions, birthdays, and anniversaries
  • ensure events run smoothly by supporting clients, guests, catering and vendors, enforcing venue policies, and upholding standards of hospitality and customer service
  • open and close venues per event guidelines and procedures
  • greet and direct vendors ensuring compliance with Hudson Gardens policies
  • communicate accurate information to vendors, attendees, patrons and staff
  • ensure contractual obligations to clients are fulfilled
  • create an atmosphere of hospitality through courteous and patient service
  • ensure vendors clean up and put away equipment at the end of events
  • monitor event timelines to ensure adherence to schedule
  • oversee post-event cleanup, breakdown and restoration of event spaces
  • work as a team and communicate with co-workers, vendors, and guests
  • monitor safety and respond to emergencies including administering basic first aid
  • respond to public inquiries courteously and efficiently
  • identify and report facility hazards
  • submit nightly event reports
  • attend staff meetings, trainings, and orientations
  • maintain regular, reliable attendance and substitute for co-workers when available
