Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Two years of related job experience providing administrative, project coordination, and/or logistics support, preferably in an event-related industry
- Experience building and managing Cvent registration sites and Cvent Certification preferred
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- CRM, database, accounting, and project management software experience preferred such as SmartSheet, Asana, Salesforce, Ellucian Advance, Workday, QuickBooks
- Good interpersonal skills needed to interact with diverse clients, vendors and constituents who attend university events
- Knowledge of event planning including event logistics, staffing, and scheduling/timeline development
- Ability to thoroughly follow-through with tasks and complete projects on time
- Organized, detailed-oriented, and accurate with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to comprehend, edit, and create well-written instructions, business correspondence, and marketing copy
- Ability to anticipate needs of project leads and event managers and develop deliverables and documents in advance
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must be a self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem solver and intuitive thinker with good judgement
- Ability to work with confidential information with discretion and strong sense of protocol
- Some evening and weekend hours required
- Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, perform desk-based tasks, use a telephone
- Ability to kneel, crawl, twist, bend, stoop, squat, manipulate objects, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license and drive day or night
- Able to comply with university cart certification requirements

Job Duties
- Serve as a registration lead for the department which entails building registration sites, tracking event participation, troubleshooting registrant questions, sending mass email communications, liaising with appropriate university personnel for registration site deliverables, copyediting, and evaluating the success of events
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory counts, ordering supplies, reconciling Workday charges, preparing/tracking shipments for non-local events
- Provide on-site event support including on-site event check-in management, payment processing, event setup and breakdown
- Support pre-event preparation such as securing technology rentals, configuring devices, and coordinate day-of operations including tech deliveries, troubleshooting and volunteer training
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
