Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
- Minimum of seven years experience in event or entertainment services or a comparable area
- Previous supervisory experience
- Familiarity with small power tools, AV devices, and event equipment
- Possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use a computer for email and work order software
- Ability to pass essential job functions satisfactorily
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
- Minimum of seven years experience in event or entertainment services or a comparable area
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Familiarity with small power tools and AV devices
- Ability to operate motorized equipment
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage time efficiently
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot AV equipment and software issues
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Supervise and direct daily operations of the Event Tech Division
- Set up, operate and take down lighting, audio, and video systems
- Provide advice, training, and support on the use of AV equipment
- Move, set up, and position chairs, tables, AV, and other furniture
- Operate light motorized equipment including floor scrubber, forklift, and scissor lift
- Perform light repairs and maintenance work
- Conduct daily facility safety checks
- Develop goals and objectives for event setup, grounds keeping, and maintenance
- Oversee projects and contract work
- Prepare quotations and estimates
- Train, lead, and evaluate staff
- Attend and participate in event and operations meetings
- Perform event set-up inspections
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Work any shift including overnights, weekends, and holidays
