The hiring establishment is a public district that manages event facilities and services, ensuring smooth and successful event execution. This district is responsible for providing venues and support for a wide range of events including performances, meetings, and community gatherings. Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a related degree
- Two or more years of experience in event management
- At least one year working for the District is preferred
- Experience in event management may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis
- Knowledge of modern principles and practices of business management in regard to production, event operation and facilities management
- Considerable independent professional judgment within assigned work area
- Ability to analyze operating conditions and problems and recommend or take appropriate action
- Ability to express self clearly and concisely electronically, orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with facility users, contract services, District staff, District Board, and general public
- Ability to communicate effectively with District staff and contracted services to ensure event success
Job Qualifications

- Considerable independent professional judgment in solving problems
Job Duties
- Regular contact with inside and outside sources in conjunction with the planning for and providing services needed by facility users
- Supports Event Managers with assisting with closing out their events and clearing the building after each event is completed
- Assures readiness of items needed for events and performances in facilities
- Consults with meeting planners and promoters to gather information to distribute to staff regarding the needs of the event
- Inform groups utilizing the facilities as to the rules and safety precautions required in operating events
- Implements the District's event policies
- Utilizes Momentus, an event management software
- May assist with event planning
- Promotes both internal and external guest services, including fellow employees, contract service providers, event planners and event attendees
- Required to work odd or unusual hours as needed to complete essential job functions or as assigned
- Performs related work as assigned
