Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, entertainment management, marketing, or communications preferred
  • five years of event management experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license for the State of Arizona
  • CPRP or CWP certification preferred
  • availability to work some evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • excellent customer service skills
  • proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, entertainment management, marketing, or communications preferred
  • five years of event management experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license for the State of Arizona
  • CPRP or CWP preferred
  • ability to read, write, and understand the English language
  • regularly attend evening and/or weekend activities and performances

Job Duties

  • Meet with clients, understand objectives, conceptualize themes, and develop detailed event plans and proposals
  • create, monitor, and control event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and track expenses
  • select and book venues, arrange transportation, manage catering, decor, A/V, and other services
  • source, communicate with, and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and event sponsors
  • assist with event promotion, registration, and attendee communication
  • oversee setup, manage staff and volunteers, coordinate schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • manage breakdown, collect feedback, conduct evaluations, and prepare reports
  • ensure excellent customer service to homeowners, visitors, vendors, staff, and applicants
  • work with Human Resources to plan and direct personnel management
  • assist with department annual budget
  • work some evenings and weekends
