Job Description

Job Requirements

  • must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • must complete FERPA, Title IX, BBS, workplace harassment prevention certifications within 30 days
  • must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must be able to stand for the entire shift
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • crowd control management training preferred
  • TAMS/TIPS training preferred
  • FERPA certification or completion within 30 days
  • Title IX certification or completion within 30 days
  • behavior based safety certification or completion within 30 days
  • workplace harassment prevention certification or completion within 30 days
  • payment card information training annual
  • previous event or guest services experience
  • effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate situations
  • experience with cash handling
  • experience using cleaning products and equipment
  • knowledge of facility coordination and general event conversions
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided

Job Duties

  • assist in building general cleanliness including custodial duties
  • provide guest services including ushering and reception
  • execute event set-up and break-down tasks
  • manage crowd control and ticketing operations
  • operate audio-visual equipment after training
  • handle cash transactions and reconcile cash drawer
  • maintain accurate records and respond to guest inquiries
