Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possession of a valid driver’s license or driving privilege card
- Ability and willingness to connect and interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to deal with public under potentially adverse circumstances
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, supervisors and other employees
- One year paid work experience performing event functions at a performing arts theater or equivalent venue
- Working knowledge of computers and standard office machines
- Must be responsible, punctual and have the ability to make quick decisions

- Familiarity with AV equipment such as projectors, speaker systems and computer related media devices is desirable
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable
Job Duties
- Assist in the setup, facilitation, and teardown of meetings, parties, events and program activities
- Open and close the facility at the start and end of events and/or daily operations following established procedures
- Ensure patrons and event organizers leave the facility in satisfactory condition according to rental and/or facility use agreements
- Positively engage with patrons and participants, help to de-escalate conflicts and ensure rules and safety regulations are followed
- Greet patrons and take telephone calls at the reception desk to answer questions about campus amenities and services, direct them to campus admin team, staff and resources
- Provide backup to the Events Coordinator when they are not on site
- Support and fill in for other campus staff as needed including monitoring the computer lab, performing administrative tasks, and facility management duties
- Other duties as assigned
