Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2 years of experience in planning events
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of meeting and event planning principles and procedures
- Highly skilled in resource coordination and priority setting
- Understanding of conference facilities and technology
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects
- Proficiency with personal computers and related software

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Support the Senior Event Manager as a client liaison for events and conferences with respect to budgets, speakers, catering, facilities, technology, contracts, and logistics
- Establish event goals and objectives, estimate costs, manage and identify appropriate university space, and coordinate work among internal trades and departments including Human Resources, Catering, Media Services, and Facilities Management
- Coordinate external vendor resources to support event goals and serve as primary contact throughout the planning process
- Manage financial support services including monitoring expenses and reconciling accounts
- Assist with coordinating event support volunteers, staff, and students
- Oversee logistical requirements for events including technology and equipment setup
- Communicate effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders throughout event planning and execution
